Grand Opening Celebration at Phantasm Gaming in Branford, CT

Connecticut’s newest tabletop gaming hub welcomes all!

A brand new hub for tabletop and trading card gaming is now open! We’re inviting community members and gamers of all ages to celebrate our grand opening on Saturday, August 26. The event will feature 3 trading card tournaments (Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering), free lunch for guests, and plenty of time for people to mingle, meet and play their favorite games.

Our store is proud to offer a spectacular spread of trading card game supplies, including single cards and sealed products, deck boxes, sleeves, play mats and more. Additionally, we offer a broad range of board games, collectibles and tabletop miniature building supplies. 

“I think it’s important for the gaming community to be able to grow. A lot of places closed during the pandemic. For games to survive and prosper, the community needs more places to come together,” says owner Justin Baine.

“Card game and board game lovers come from all walks of life, and I hope our small business can be a place where everyone feels welcome and has fun.”

Baine, a USCG veteran and lifelong competitive trading card game player, made his dream come true by founding Phantasm Gaming online in 2009. 

Besides day-to-day sales, we also hosts daily tournaments, are looking to build partnerships with local artists, and are organizing special events for brand-new gamers, youth, LGBTQ people, veterans and more.

The store’s team includes trading card collection experts specializing in Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering. This team is available on all open days to appraise and purchase collectibles from people wishing to sell.
